Megan Thee Stallion Scores Legal Win as Defamation Lawsuit Against Milagro Gramz Moves Forward

Megan Thee Stallion just secured a major victory in her legal battle against blogger Milagro Gramz, as a judge ruled that her defamation and harassment lawsuit can proceed. The rapper, born Megan Pete, has accused Gramz—real name Milagro Cooper—of launching a smear campaign against her, allegedly funded by Tory Lanez after his conviction for shooting Megan in 2020.

Judge Denies Motion to Dismiss, Citing “Intentional Campaign”

Gramz recently tried to get the case dismissed, but on February 7th, Judge Cecilia Altonaga shut that down, stating that Megan’s lawsuit presented a “compelling case”. The judge wrote in a 25-page ruling that the claims against Gramz go beyond simple negligence:

“Plaintiff’s claims extend far beyond mere negligence — they paint a picture of an intentional campaign to destroy her reputation. That is more than enough to [deny the motion to dismiss].”

The Deepfake Controversy

One of the most shocking allegations in Megan’s lawsuit involves a pornographic deepfake video that was circulated online. Megan alleges that Gramz shared the explicit deepfake to further tarnish her image. While Gramz’s defense argues she merely “liked” the post on X (formerly Twitter), the judge wasn’t buying it.

“By ‘liking’ an X.com post that featured the deepfake video, the video was exhibited on defendant’s ‘Likes’ page,” the judge ruled, further stating that Gramz directed her followers to view the content, making her involvement more than passive.

Tory Lanez’s Alleged Role in the Harassment

Megan has long claimed that Tory Lanez continues to harass her from behind bars, using social media and third parties to keep up the pressure. She alleges that Gramz was hired by Lanez to spread false narratives about her.

In December 2024, Megan’s legal team amended their lawsuit after discovering what they claim is direct coordination between Gramz and Lanez. As a result, Megan was granted a temporary restraining order against the blogger in January 2025.

Gramz’s Lawyer Responds

Despite the legal setback, Gramz’s attorney, Michael A. Pancier, downplayed the significance of the judge’s ruling, insisting that Megan still has to prove her case.

“This decision does not reflect a determination on the merits of the case,” Pancier said. “The plaintiff must now substantiate her claims with credible and admissible evidence.”

What’s Next?

With the lawsuit officially moving forward, Megan Thee Stallion now has the opportunity to present her evidence in court. If she can prove that Gramz was actively involved in a targeted harassment campaign, it could set a major precedent for social media accountability—especially when it comes to celebrity smear campaigns.

For now, Megan and her team remain tight-lipped, but one thing is clear—this legal battle is far from over.
