Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner were spotted filming their new horror movie Possession on the streets of New Jersey on Friday, with their characters seen in a heated argument during a scene. Turner’s character sported a gray sweater marked with blood stains as Qualley, dressed in a flowing purple dress, appeared to be shouting at him in the middle of an intersection.
The pair are starring in Parker Finn’s remake of the 1981 cult classic, which follows a woman whose disturbing behavior after asking for a divorce spirals into something far more sinister. Qualley takes on the role originally played by Isabelle Adjani, while Turner steps into the part originated by Sam Neill.
The production is being directed by the creator of the Smile franchise, with Robert Pattinson attached as a producer. Filming is taking place on 35-millimeter film, a deliberate choice to honor the original’s gritty aesthetic. The movie does not yet have a release date.
