The actress is keeping it real. Mandy Moore gave fans an unfiltered look at her postpartum body this week, sharing a vulnerable video of herself standing in front of a mirror in leggings and a crop top. “After 3 kids in 3 1/2 years, this is what my body is…,” she wrote on her Instagram Story July 16. “Loose skin and all.”
The This Is Us star rubbed her stomach in the clip, revealing the loose skin that comes with welcoming three children in rapid succession. Moore shares sons Gus, 5, Ozzie, 3, and daughter Lou, 21 months, with husband Taylor Goldsmith, whom she married in 2018. The 42-year-old didn’t stop at the mirror selfie, she also showed fans how she’s honoring her body through fitness.
In a subsequent Story, Moore shared a video of herself completing a challenging gym circuit involving jumps, box lowers, and incline push-ups. But the actress made it clear that perfection isn’t the goal. “Also, I’m super awkward and not a natural athlete,” she wrote, “but I’m committed to getting stronger for the long run.”
Moore has never shied away from the honest moments parenthood brings. In another Story, she shared a hilarious exchange with her eldest son Gus. “On our way to camp this morning, Gus asked me if I was going to die before dad because I’m older than him. BURN,” she wrote. “I told him I’m only a year older than @taylordawesgoldsmith, geez.”
These days, Moore is especially grateful for the normalcy of family life. She and Goldsmith nearly lost their home in the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires. The couple has since remodeled their Altadena property after significant damage, including a burned-down garage and a studio that remained aflame when they first returned. The family moved back in and now feel a deeper connection to their community. “Overwhelmingly, you feel so proud to live here and so proud to stake your claim here,” Moore told Architectural Digest. “So many people that we know, too, neighbors of ours, are doing the same, and I feel like it’s gonna bring everybody that much closer.”
