British rap queen Little Simz turned the Orange Main Stage into a temple of good vibes at Poland’s Open’er Festival on Friday night, delivering more than just music—she brought soul, sincerity, and a mission to uplift.

Performing in front of thousands, the 31-year-old star paused mid-set to share a heartfelt moment with fans as the sun dipped behind the horizon.

“I think it’s my job to try and spread love and light. I do my best. I’m only human. But I wrote this song to try and put a little bit more love into the world… so if you want to join in, this one’s called ‘Free.’”

And with that, the crowd melted into the moment—a collective exhale as the opening chords of “Free” rippled through the twilight.

Simz, who’s carved her name deep into the heart of UK rap and beyond, didn’t just come to perform; she came to connect. Grateful as ever, she poured appreciation into the crowd:

“I want to express my gratitude to anyone out there that ever bought a ticket to a show, listened to a song, watched a video, or bought merch. I don’t take any of that for granted. When I was coming up, I used to perform in front of 10 people.”

From 10 people in small rooms to thousands chanting her lyrics in open fields, Little Simz remains as grounded as ever.

Her powerful performance added even more sparkle to a star-studded Friday lineup that featured fka twigsSt. VincentJustice, and Muse. And the energy continues to build, with Wolf AliceDoechii, and Linkin Park set to close out the festival on Saturday.
