LiAngelo Ball’s hit track “Tweaker” has been making waves since its release on January 3rd, with its catchy chorus, “I might swerve, bend that corner, woah,” quickly becoming a viral sensation across the NBA community. While fans and celebrities like Shaquille O’Neal have embraced the song, not everyone is impressed.

Veteran comedian Ms. Pat didn’t hold back during her recent appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaq. Despite admitting she hasn’t listened to the full track, she roasted both the song and its creator. After hearing Shaq sing the chorus, Ms. Pat joked, “You like that bullsht? Me and you could’ve made that goddamn song. ‘Something something something, woah.’”*

Gelo’s Massive Payday Shocks Ms. Pat

What really caught Ms. Pat off guard was the financial success of “Tweaker.” LiAngelo reportedly signed a $13 million deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group, securing $8 million in guaranteed earnings while retaining full ownership of his music and record label. Reacting to this, Ms. Pat quipped, “He made $13 million singing that sht? Come to my house so we can make a video.”*

Though her comments came across as critical, Ms. Pat clarified she isn’t into hip-hop music, preferring country tunes instead. She downplayed her remarks, perhaps to avoid a backlash from the Ball family.

Shaq and Others Back “Tweaker”

While Ms. Pat remains unimpressed, Shaq is a vocal supporter of the track. He was seen dancing to “Tweaker” on Inside the NBA during halftime of a Lakers-Mavericks game. Fellow analyst Kenny Smith joined the praise, saying, “I’ve never heard a song take off so fast like this Gelo song has taken off. Shoutout to the Ball family.”

The track’s infectious hook even became part of a “Finish the Lyric” game on the show, where Shaq humorously fumbled the lyrics, mumbling, “Something something something, woah.” Charles Barkley, predictably, struggled the most to remember the words.

A Dream Run for Gelo’s Music Career

Despite the mixed reactions, “Tweaker” has cemented LiAngelo Ball’s presence in the music industry. Its success, combined with his lucrative record deal, signals a promising future for the NBA star turned rapper. Love it or hate it, Gelo’s song has become a cultural moment, earning the approval of fans and some big names alike.
