Lewis Capaldi is officially back — and he’s not just stopping at one song.
Fresh off the release of his emotional comeback single Survive, the 28-year-old singer-songwriter has revealed that more music is on the way, including a brand-new EP expected sometime this year.
Capaldi shared the news during a recent appearance on Good Morning America, where he hinted that while fans might need to wait a bit longer for a full-length album, a smaller project is definitely in the works.
“Oh, I don’t know about an album… I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this but I’m doing an EP at some point this year, and then an album will follow maybe next year,” he said.
Glastonbury Redemption and Nervous Pees
The announcement comes just weeks after his emotional return to Glastonbury, where he performed a surprise set on the Pyramid Stage — two years after his 2023 performance was cut short due to a Tourette syndrome flare-up.
Speaking on his return, Capaldi said:
“It was good, it was really fun. There were lots of people there, it was nerve-wracking. I did lots of nervous pees, I got it all out and I feel elated.”
He added with a laugh, “I’m really happy to be back doing what I love, and what they’re paying me to do.”
Therapy Made It Possible
Behind Capaldi’s triumphant return is a story of healing and mental strength. The BRIT Award winner has been open about the challenges he’s faced, including struggles with anxiety and Tourette syndrome, which forced him to take a step back from music in 2023.
Now, he credits therapy as the turning point that helped him reclaim his place on stage.
“Therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again. I don’t think I’ll ever stop going to therapy after the impact it’s had on my life over the past two years,” Capaldi said in a video chat with online therapy platform BetterHelp.
In partnership with BetterHelp, Lewis is also giving back. He’s helping to provide 734,000 hours of free therapy for fans, a gesture that reflects his ongoing mission to de-stigmatize mental health support.
Sara Brooks, BetterHelp’s Chief Growth Officer, praised his honesty:
“To have someone as globally recognised as Lewis Capaldi share so authentically how getting help through online therapy has transformed his life is incredibly powerful.”
What’s Next?
Capaldi is gearing up for a UK and Ireland tour this September, and with the new EP on the horizon, fans have plenty to look forward to — both musically and emotionally — from one of the most relatable voices in pop today.
