Law Roach is officially the costume designer for Ariana Grande’s upcoming Eternal Sunshine tour, marking a reunion seven years in the making. The Eternal Sunshine tour costumes will be crafted by the same creative mind behind her 2019 Sweetener World Tour looks.

The announcement came from Cannes, where Roach revealed he will fly directly to Los Angeles for fittings before the tour kicks off on June 6 in Oakland. The 47-year-old image architect previously styled Grande for her Dangerous Woman tour in 2017 and served as costume designer for the Sweetener World Tour in 2019.

“This new album is so good. It is quintessential Ariana,” Roach told The Hollywood Reporter. “Seven years is a long time to not perform for huge audiences. Her maturation as an artist and as a woman is incredible.”

The Sweetener World Tour featured seven distinct costume changes per show, including a pink ruffled ensemble, a purple look with matching boots, and a plaid outfit channeling Cher from “Clueless.” Roach collaborated with designer Michael Ngo to create those looks, all anchored by Grande’s signature thigh-high boots.

Roach has continued working with Grande throughout her Wicked awards season, curating archival Vivienne Westwood and Bob Mackie pieces. But the tour marks a return to their roots.

“I’m just so grateful that she chose me to come back and collaborate with her for it,” Roach said.

The Eternal Sunshine tour begins June 6 in Oakland, running through North America before heading to London in August. Grande will also release a new album titled “petal” on July 31.

Roach has already heard the album. He promises fans will be excited by both the music and the show. The creative partnership that defined Grande’s last tour is back, older, wiser, and ready for a new chapter.
