Kristen Stewart is shouting out her wife, Dylan Meyer, and she can’t hide her admiration. The Love Lies Bleeding star got candid about her marriage to the 39-year-old screenwriter, sharing her awe at the “kind of life she’s lived” and her incredible talent.
“I know how good she is,” Stewart told The Guardian. “And I just think she’s so f*cking good, and it is so not about her being good at anything. She’s good because she’s wise and can express things that are hard to express. That’s a talent”. Stewart met Meyer in 2013, but they didn’t start dating until 2019. They got engaged in 2021 and tied the knot in a small ceremony in May 2024.
Stewart is gearing up for the release of her new film The Chronology of Water at the Toronto International Film Festival, which she directed and is based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s acclaimed memoir. She also told The Guardian she wants to adapt an old movie script Meyer wrote when she was 19 and has only ever shown close friends. “I’m gonna make it,” Stewart said. “I will just stand over her shoulder until we’ve made the thing that she wants to make”.
