Kimora Lee Simmons has filed her response to estranged husband Tim Leissner’s divorce petition, making a surprising request: she wants him to have primary custody of their 11-year-old son, Wolfe. This contradicts Leissner’s original petition, where the former Goldman Sachs banker, currently serving a two-year prison sentence for his role in the 1MDB scandal, requested joint legal and physical custody.

In court documents obtained, Kimora checked the box for Tim to have primary legal and physical custody, even though he asked for joint custody. She also asked to terminate the court’s ability to award any support to Tim, while requesting spousal support for herself and asking him to cover her legal fees.

The couple married in March 2014 and share 11-year-old son Wolfe. They’ve reportedly been separated since 2020, making the divorce largely procedural. This is Kimora’s second divorce, she was previously married to Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons from 1998 to 2009, with whom she shares daughters Ming and Aoki. Leissner, 56, signed the divorce papers on February 4, just two days before surrendering to begin his prison sentence.
