James Morgan, the husband of Emmy-winning actress Kim Delaney, was arrested for public intoxication after a disruptive flight from Detroit to Los Angeles on Monday. Law enforcement sources said that Morgan and Delaney allegedly got into an argument during the Delta flight, and Morgan was also involved in a separate incident with a flight attendant. He was booked shortly after landing at LAX.
A Delta spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating, “Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first”. The airline said there was no operational impact to the flight and confirmed law enforcement responded after the plane arrived. Morgan’s public intoxication arrest is a misdemeanor, and he was released from custody early Tuesday after posting bond.
This is not Morgan’s first run-in with law enforcement. In February, he was arrested after a disturbance at the couple’s Los Angeles-area apartment. Delaney, 64, is best known for her roles on “NYPD Blue” and “All My Children,” winning an Emmy in 1999 for her portrayal of Detective Diane Russell. She and Morgan married in August 2022 after eight years together. Morgan has not commented on the arrest, and Delaney’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment.
