Khloe Kardashian is shutting down the reality TV crossover fans have dreamed about. During the September 30 episode of her Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, the Good American founder told guest Paige DeSorbo she would “probably not” join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The Khloe Kardashian Real Housewives question has followed her for years, but she made clear her hesitation is about the format itself. “I love them, but I have really only worked with my family and I can’t imagine,” she said. “I feel like it’s competitive to get screen time, and I’ve never lived like that because it’s family”. She also pointed to the drama that comes with the franchise: “It’s cutthroat, and you have to talk s—t about people. Or what’s your purpose? And sometimes I don’t want to”.
Kardashian has been on television alongside her family since Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered in 2007. She currently stars on The Kardashians with Kourtney, Kim, Kendall, Kylie, and Kris Jenner, and is raising her two children, True and Tatum. While she ruled out the Housewives, she didn’t close the door on reality TV entirely, she said she’d be more interested in a competition show like The Great British Bake Off or hosting a children’s competition series.
