Kendrick Lamar continues to dominate the Billboard Hot 100, as his latest hit, “Luther” featuring SZA, secures its fourth consecutive week at No. 1. This milestone makes it the longest-running chart-topper of Lamar’s career, surpassing his previous three-week record with “Not Like Us” and “Like That” (with Future and Metro Boomin).
Breaking Records with “Luther”
With four weeks at No. 1, “Luther” now holds the title as Kendrick Lamar’s longest-running No. 1 single on the Hot 100. The track has also made a massive impact across multiple Billboard charts, leading eight different rankings and appearing in the top 10 on another eight charts—proving its widespread appeal across rap, R&B, and general music consumption.
Lamar’s History of Hot 100 No. 1s
“Luther” marks Lamar’s sixth No. 1 hit on the Hot 100, joining an elite list of chart-toppers:
• “Humble” (2017)
• “Bad Blood” (with Taylor Swift, 2015)
• “Not Like Us” (2024)
• “Like That” (with Future & Metro Boomin, 2024)
• “Squabble Up” (2024)
Replacing Himself at No. 1
Lamar achieved the rare feat of replacing himself at the top spot, as “Luther” took over from his previous No. 1 hit, “Not Like Us.” The latter had surged back to No. 1 in February following his Super Bowl performance and a dominant night at the Grammy Awards. This marks yet another moment in Lamar’s career where he has held the top two spots on the Hot 100 simultaneously—a feat accomplished by only a few artists in history.
What’s Next for Kendrick Lamar?
With “Luther” still holding strong, Lamar’s dominance on the charts shows no signs of slowing down. The rapper has firmly established himself as one of hip-hop’s most influential artists, continuing to break records and redefine commercial success in rap music.
