Kendrick Lamar continues his dominant run on Billboard’s Rap Airplay chart — so much so that he’s now getting in his own way.
His massive hit “Luther” featuring SZA holds firm at No. 1 this week, while his rising single “Peekaboo” with AzChike climbs to No. 2, marking yet another near-chart-topper for the Compton rapper. Ironically, Kendrick is blocking himself from claiming a new No. 1.
While “Luther” begins to cool on pop radio, it remains a force on rap-focused stations, now spending its 10th week at the summit — making it Kendrick’s third song to hit double-digit weeks at No. 1, after “Not Like Us” (17 weeks) and “Humble” (12 weeks).
“Peekaboo”: Kendrick’s New No. 2 That Could Go Higher
With “Peekaboo” jumping past Drake’s “Nokia” to land at No. 2, it becomes Kendrick’s third track to peak at No. 2 without reaching the top spot, alongside:
• “Loyalty” featuring Rihanna
• “Poetic Justice” featuring Drake
If “Luther” loses steam in the coming weeks, “Peekaboo” could soon mark AzChike’s first No. 1and Kendrick’s ninth.
GNX Era Dominates Airplay
Kendrick is currently unmatched on the Rap Airplay chart, occupying four of the top 10 spots:
• No. 1 – Luther (feat. SZA)
• No. 2 – Peekaboo (feat. AzChike)
• No. 4 – Squabble Up (peaked at No. 3)
• No. 6 – TV Off (feat. Lefty Gunplay), a former No. 1
All four tracks come from Lamar’s chart-topping 2025 album GNX, a project that’s been redefining his presence across both radio and streaming platforms.
Kendrick may be blocking himself for now — but with such control of the airwaves, it’s clear no one else is standing in his way.
