R&B singer Keke Wyatt has been arrested in Georgia on three serious charges. A representative for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Wyatt was taken into custody on September 20 and booked into the Henry County jail for terroristic threats, simple assault, and cruelty to children.
The Keke Wyatt arrested news marks another legal entanglement for the singer, who first rose to national fame in the early 2000s through hit duets with Avant. She was released two days after her arrest after posting a $1,050 bond. Authorities have not yet released details about what allegedly led to the charges, and Wyatt has not publicly commented on the arrest.
Wyatt is known for hits including “My First Love” and “Nothing in This World,” both featured on her gold-certified debut album Soul Sista. She also starred on all three seasons of TV One’s reality series R&B Divas: Atlanta and later headlined her own show, Keke Wyatt’s World.
