Katie Holmes has publicly dismissed claims that her daughter, Suri Cruise, became a millionaire thanks to a trust fund set up by her estranged father, Tom Cruise.
The rumors began after the Daily Mail published a story on December 5 alleging that Suri, who turned 18 in April, had accessed the fund. The report also suggested an additional trust from Holmes herself.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the Dawson’s Creek star shared a screenshot of the article and firmly denied its accuracy. Holmes labeled the claims “completely false” and called out the publication with the caption, “Enough,” urging them to stop spreading misinformation.
This isn’t the first time Holmes, 45, has spoken out to shield Suri from unwarranted media attention. In previous interviews, she has emphasized her commitment to protecting her daughter, who has been in the public eye from a young age.
“I really like to protect her,” Holmes said in 2023, adding, “I’m very grateful to be her parent. She’s an incredible person.”
Fans rallied around Holmes following her post, applauding her for standing up to the false reports. Supportive comments included, “Good for you for standing up to them!” and “You’re an outstanding mom! Wish people had more respect.”
Holmes continues to prioritize Suri’s well-being and has made it clear that she values privacy and authenticity over sensational headlines.
