Kai Cenat is facing a new lawsuit from an attendee who claims he nearly suffered heatstroke twice at the streamer’s Streamer University event in Manhattan last month. Caleb Gottfried, known online as SNVRK, filed the lawsuit alleging dangerous conditions at the event and unauthorized use of his image in promotional content.
Gottfried claims the event at John Jay College of Criminal Justice had severe conditions, attributing his alleged medical emergencies to “negligent crowd control and total failure to provide standard safety and ventilation measures”. He says NYPD officers were present and witnessed both near-heatstroke incidents.
The lawsuit also alleges that Gottfried’s image was used in a commercial for Streamer University without his consent. He claims he appeared as “background talent” for the promotional material but never signed a release or waiver authorizing the use of his likeness. He is seeking more than $330,000 in damages.
The legal trouble doesn’t stop there. Cenat is also facing a separate lawsuit from another man who claims he was assaulted by a member of the streamer’s security team at the 2025 Dominican Day Parade in New York . Representatives for Cenat have not responded to requests for comment.
The June event drew massive crowds, with fans camping out overnight to secure spots during the application process. Videos showed large groups of people packed around the Manhattan campus, with police deployed to manage the crowds. The overwhelming turnout had some sleeping outside for more than 16 hours before applications opened.
