Kai Cenat is officially ending his nine-month streaming hiatus. The popular creator announced he will return to live broadcasting on July 6 at 8:00 PM EST, marking his first full-scale stream since stepping back in October 2025. The comeback will feature a major milestone: his first-ever simultaneous broadcast on both Twitch and YouTube.
During the livestream, Cenat will unveil the complete roster of students and professors selected for Streamer University 2026, the second edition of his creator-focused mentorship program. The event, held at the University of Akron in Ohio, brings together aspiring content creators with established internet personalities for a weekend of networking, workshops, and collaboration.
Cenat stepped back from regular streaming in October 2025 after years of nonstop content production, including marathon broadcasts and record-breaking subscriber events . In a January 2026 video titled I Quit, he clarified the break was about mental health and creative growth. “I Quit… thinking in my head of the goals I want to achieve and not pursuing them because I’m known for one thing,” he explained.
During his hiatus, Cenat launched a fashion brand, Vivet, and a personal YouTube channel called Kai’s Mind, documenting his fitness routine, reading habits, and creative direction . He traveled to Italy and Switzerland, attended events, and focused on personal growth, all while telling fans he would return “when it’s time”.
The return stream will be broadcast simultaneously on KaiCenat (Twitch) and KaiCenatLive (YouTube), expanding his reach across both platforms. The Streamer University 2026 lineup reveal is the centerpiece, following over one million applications for the first edition.
Selected students receive free accommodation, meals, and access to workshops led by professors including DDG, Duke Dennis, Agent 00, and ImDontai . The program also includes club activities like Drama, Debate Team, Basketball, and Musical Arts. The official Streamer University Instagram account encouraged applicants ahead of the reveal: “Whether your name is revealed or not… remember that this does not define your talent, your potential, or your future”.
Cenat signaled his comeback by sharing a photo from his streaming room at the AMP house on Instagram. On X, he posted: “Missed yall” followed by “Turn me up yall it’s time”. His first stream back is set to be a defining moment for one of the internet’s biggest creators.
