Justin Bieber opened up about his faith in a heartfelt Instagram Story on Saturday, sharing why he firmly believes in Jesus’ presence in his life. The message came as his former close friend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, continues to face serious allegations, including sexual assault, abuse, and sex trafficking.
“How can I really believe Jesus is with me?” Bieber, 30, wrote, before answering his own question. “Well for me Justin, it’s simply his goodness that keeps convincing me. Every time I thought he wouldn’t show up for me he always has. I’m convinced he’s the perfect patient presence that guides, directs, and leads me all the days of my life—providing, healing, restoring all that the enemy tried to destroy and steal.”
The pop star’s reflective post comes months after reports surfaced about Bieber’s mental health struggles, which were reportedly triggered by the allegations against Combs. Sources close to Bieber revealed he has been grappling with the revelations, as his history with the Bad Boy Records founder dates back to his teenage years.
In October, insiders told Us Weekly that Bieber was “in a hard place mentally,” describing the situation as “hard to process” given his past friendship with Combs. Another source shared that Bieber was “completely disgusted” by the accusations and had been advised to publicly distance himself from the embattled music mogul.
While the controversy stirred public scrutiny over their past relationship, Bieber has reportedly found solace in his family, particularly his newborn son, Jack Blues, whom he welcomed with wife Hailey Bieber earlier this year.
“His happiness being a dad has outweighed his anxiety about Diddy,” an insider shared, adding that the Grammy winner is focusing on positivity and leaving his connection to Combs in the past.
Bieber’s faith seems to be a source of strength as he navigates these challenges. His message, filled with gratitude for Jesus’ “perfect patient presence,” serves as a reminder of the role spirituality plays in his life. For Bieber, the tumult surrounding Combs is a chapter he’s ready to close, choosing instead to embrace the joy of fatherhood and the peace of his faith.
