Justin Bieber brought his competitive spirit—and a bit of playful aggression—to the ‘Skate for LA Strong’ charity ice hockey match in Los Angeles. The star-studded event, aimed at supporting victims of recent wildfires, featured a mix of celebrities and former NHL players.
Bieber vs. Roenick: A Friendly Scuffle
During the match, Bieber shared lighthearted moments with hockey legend Mark Messier before getting into a playful scuffle with ex-NHL star Jeremy Roenick. The two locked up, with Bieber throwing mock punches before being separated. A smiling Bieber skated away as Snoop Dogg, who was on commentary, quipped, “Somebody help JB!”
Celebrities & Hockey Stars Unite for a Cause
The event, organized by Hall of Famer and Kings President Luc Robitaille, saw participation from Will Ferrell, Danny DeVito, Al Michaels, PK Subban, and actor Skylar Astin. The game not only raised funds but also honored first responders who battled the devastating wildfires.
Roenick, who scored twice in the match, called it an “amazing celebration of hockey and first responders.” Meanwhile, actor Skylar Astin, a Malibu resident, reflected on the destruction caused by the fires, stating, “Seeing it firsthand was chilling.”
