Sweet Home Alabama star Josh Lucas has officially tied the knot — and he did it in one of the most sacred places on Earth.
The 54-year-old actor married meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo at The Vatican in Rome, making their union both romantic and deeply spiritual. The couple shared the joyful news on Friday, July 18, with Brianna posting a carousel of wedding photos on Instagram, captioned:
“Mr. and Mrs. Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city.”
Josh was equally emotional in the comments, writing:
“I love you! Easily one of the greatest days of my life. I am so so grateful.”
The couple’s love story has been a dreamy whirlwind. They got engaged in July 2024 during a romantic vacation in Italy. At the time, Josh shared a heartfelt message:
“For the last 2 years in every way and every day, this beautiful soul has made me and my life better, deeper, and more whole… I am absolutely aware I got crazy lucky.”
Brianna was equally smitten, calling the proposal:
“The easiest and best question I’ve ever answered.”
