18 July 2025 – Celebrity couple Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn may be a team when it comes to parenting, but when it comes to finances, they prefer to keep things separate.
During a candid chat on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, the longtime couple—who tied the knot in 2007and share 17-year-old twin daughters, Dolly and Charlie—opened up about how they manage their money. According to the pair, each of them maintains individual bank accounts, but they contribute to a “community pot” for shared parenting and household expenses.
Rebecca, 52, explained:
“We keep our money completely separate… There’s, like, a community pot.”
She added that this arrangement was established early in their relationship:
“That’s like one of the first conversations you have when you decide to enter into a legal agreement together.”
With Rebecca’s acting career still going strong and Jerry’s recent exit from his co-hosting role on The Talk, Andy Cohen jokingly referred to Rebecca as the household’s breadwinner. But Jerry, 51, chimed in to clarify that contributions to their shared account are flexible:
“We actually throttle how much money we put into that account sometimes.”
Rebecca followed up:
“The one who’s not working gets a little bit of a break, and the one who is working puts in a little more.”
The couple also emphasized their commitment to hands-on parenting. Since the birth of their daughters, they made a promise that at least one parent would always be home:
“No one else was ever going to raise them besides the parents,” Rebecca shared.
Jerry, who began acting at age 11 with Stand By Me, admitted he’s hopeful his daughters will join the family business:
“I have one daughter who’s auditioning for the school musical… I’m throwing it out there. It’s the family business! I’m going to have a couple nepo babies!”
From smart financial decisions to shared parenting duties and now possibly launching the next generation of performers, Jerry and Rebecca are proving that modern Hollywood marriages can work—with the right balance.
