According to The Daily Mail, a source revealed to TMZ that Lopez toured the off-market mansion and is “seriously interested” in the property. Despite her enthusiasm, the 55-year-old superstar has reservations about the air quality in the area due to wildfire debris. She has reportedly enlisted an air quality expert to assess the safety of the location before proceeding.
Wildfire Woes: A Shared Concern with Affleck
Ben Affleck, who recently purchased a $20 million mansion on the border of Brentwood and Pacific Palisades, has also faced wildfire challenges. Following the deadly Palisades Fire, which erupted on January 7, Affleck temporarily evacuated his home. The blaze devastated much of the neighborhood, leading to widespread concerns about the region’s air quality.
Health officials, including Dr. Barbara Ferrer of the LA County Department of Public Health, have warned residents about the risks of exposure to wildfire debris. “Fire debris and ash contain harmful substances like heavy metals, asbestos, and toxic chemicals,” Ferrer explained. Prolonged exposure, she added, can result in chronic respiratory conditions.
Affleck’s Relocation Drama
The 52-year-old actor and his three children—Violet (19), Seraphina (16), and Samuel (12)—briefly stayed with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, during the evacuation. Affleck had recently moved into his Pacific Palisades mansion in September 2024, only to face its first major test with the January fire.
Interestingly, Lopez has reportedly been “checking in on Ben throughout this ordeal,” offering support to him and his kids.

The former couple, who were married for two years, are also trying to sell their Beverly Hills marital mansion, listed for a staggering $61 million.
