Veteran Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe Etim has once again shown why she’s one of the most respected voices in Nollywood — not just for her talent, but for her honesty.
In a recent heart-to-heart interview with Chude Jideonwo, the Akwa Ibom-born actress opened up about her struggles with infertility and the deeply personal journey she’s walked with her husband, Clifford Sule, whom she married on Valentine’s Day in 2013.
During the conversation, Nse bravely shared that despite their years of trying, she has not been able to conceive, and the pressure from society often comes with unsolicited advice or praise for her husband’s continued loyalty. “I don’t thank my husband for being with me despite my infertility,” she said. “He is my husband. We became one the day we got married. That means we carry each other’s burdens. That’s what love and marriage mean — for better, for worse.”
