Texas-based media giant iHeartMedia has officially settled its legal dispute with Canadian rapper Drake over the controversial diss track “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar.

Drake had accused iHeartMedia of accepting illegal payments from Universal Music Group (UMG) to boost radio airplay for the viral diss track, which targeted him. However, in a new statement released on Monday, iHeartMedia clarified that they “did nothing wrong” and that the settlement involved no payments from either party.

According to court documents filed last week in Bexar County, Texas, Drake and iHeartMedia reached an amicable resolution, though specific details were not disclosed.

iHeartMedia’s statement read:

“In exchange for documents that showed iHeart did nothing wrong, Drake agreed to drop his petition. No payments were made — by either one of us.”

Feud Sparks Controversy

The legal battle stemmed from Drake’s claims that UMG favored Lamar’s diss track despite the song containing false accusations against him. The Canadian rapper argued that UMG’s actions damaged his reputation.

The ongoing feud between Drake (38) and Kendrick Lamar (37) has been one of the most heated rivalries in hip-hop history, with “Not Like Us” becoming a cultural phenomenon.

Meanwhile, a hearing on UMG’s motion to dismiss Drake’s petition is scheduled for Wednesday.

Fans are now speculating whether the truce with iHeartMedia signals the end of the feud or if the rap war will continue.
