ASAP Rocky tried to keep Rihanna out of his courtroom drama — but not even his protective instincts could stop RiRi from standing by her man. In fact, her perfume made sure her presence was known!
During a recent sit-down with DJ Vlad, Rocky’s lawyer Joe Tacopina shared a now-viral courtroom moment that sounds straight out of a rom-com.
Before the trial began, Rocky reportedly told Tacopina that he didn’t want Rihanna attending the hearings. His reason?
“She’s Rihanna. I’m protecting her from this.”
The rapper wanted to shield the love of his life and their family from the chaos. But Rihanna, being Rihanna, wasn’t about to sit this one out.
Tacopina revealed that despite Rocky’s wishes, the Fenty queen showed up anyway — quietly slipping into court on the third day and almost every day after that.
And how did Rocky find out? His nose knew.
“Joe, I smell my girl. It’s weird, man,” Rocky whispered to his lawyer during one session.
Tacopina replied with a grin:
“Yeah, Rocky, you smell your girl ‘cause she’s sitting right behind you.”
Cue the shocked eyes and the sweetest smile from Rocky. Despite trying to keep her away, he couldn’t hide his joy seeing her there.
Tacopina praised Rihanna for being a supportive partner and hands-on mom, saying:
“She didn’t look for special treatment. She’s just a great woman.”
The attorney also dropped a funny bombshell — he accidentally ended up babysitting their sonduring Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show performance!
Rocky was found not guilty in February in the case involving fellow rapper ASAP Relli and allegations of gun assault dating back to April 2022.
