The wait is finally over for gamers worldwide. Rockstar Games has officially announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will open at midnight local time on June 25, 2026. The highly anticipated title is set to launch on November 19, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The standard edition will retail for $79.99, making it one of the few AAA titles to launch above the $70 price point. A digital-only Ultimate Edition is available for $99.99, featuring premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and exclusive content woven throughout Jason and Lucia’s story.
The physical version of GTA 6 will not include a game disc. Instead, the box contains a download code, making the game “download only” at launch. Both physical and digital pre-orders will support pre-loading starting November 12, giving players a full week to download the massive game before launch day. There is no early access period, meaning everyone plays on November 19 regardless of edition.
Players who pre-order or purchase before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, a collection of retro items inspired by the franchise’s 1980s Vice City setting. Digital pre-orders also include a free month of GTA+.
GTA 6 will be available for pre-order through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and other participating retailers worldwide . No PC version has been confirmed at launch.
