Grimes has made a desperate plea for the media to stop sharing images of her son after Elon Musk paraded their 4-year-old, X Æ A-12, around the Oval Office and major political events.
The singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, has been in an ongoing feud with the billionaire, accusing him of ignoring their child during a medical crisis while making high-profile appearances.
In a recent Time Magazine interview, Grimes reiterated her concerns:
“I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere. I think fame is something you should consent to. Obviously, things will just be what they are. But I would really, really appreciate that. I can only ask, so I’m just asking.”
The interview took place before she sent a public plea to Musk last week, urging him to respond to their child’s medical emergency.
While Musk was at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) wielding a chainsaw on stage with Argentina’s President Javier Milei, Grimes took to social media with a now-deleted message:
“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.”
She added that if Musk didn’t want to communicate with her directly, he should appoint someone else to handle the situation.
Grimes shares three children with Musk—X Æ A-12 (4), Exa Dark Sideræl (3), and Techno Mechanicus (2)—and has frequently voiced her frustration over his parenting decisions.
