Glastonbury Festival 2025 is already making waves as tickets for the legendary event sold out in a record-breaking 35 minutes on Sunday morning. Over 200,000 fans are expected to flood the picturesque Worthy Farm in southwest England for the iconic five-day music celebration, set to run from June 25 to 29.
Ticket sales kicked off at 9:00 AM (GMT), and by 9:35 AM, organisers confirmed on X: “Tickets for Glastonbury 2025 have now sold out. Thanks to everyone who bought one and sorry to those who missed out, on a morning when demand was much higher than supply.” A resale for cancelled or returned tickets is slated for spring 2025, giving hopefuls another chance to join the festivities.
Following a star-studded 2024 lineup featuring Dua Lipa and Coldplay, anticipation for next year’s headliners is sky-high, with negotiations reportedly underway to secure a jaw-dropping lineup.
Glastonbury, affectionately known as Glasto, has evolved from its counter-culture roots in 1970 into a cultural phenomenon. What began as the Pilton Festival with glam rockers T.Rex headlining has since hosted music legends like David Bowie, Paul McCartney, and Elton John, who delivered his final UK performance at the festival in 2023.
Beyond its 80+ stages and 3,000 performances, the festival is a vibrant showcase of art installations, night-long parties, and lively parades. Tickets for the 2025 event were priced at £373.50 ($471.50), cementing its status as one of the world’s premier music festivals.
Fans should savor the moment—organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that the festival will take a break in 2026 to “give the land a rest.” Until then, Glastonbury 2025 promises another unforgettable chapter in the festival’s storied legacy.
