TV personality Gemma Collins has been left deeply shaken after receiving a disturbing package containing rat poison at her home — prompting her to alert the police and ramp up security.
The 44-year-old former TOWIE star, who lives with her fiancé, businessman Rami Hawash, reportedly found the package delivered to her door without a postage stamp — a chilling detail that has only intensified fears over her safety.
“The latest delivery was really scary for Gemma and she was genuinely terrified,” a source told The Sun on Sunday.
The package also included a note, although details of what was written haven’t been made public. The terrifying delivery has sparked major concern for the safety of not just Gemma, but also her beloved pets, given the lethal contents.
This isn’t the first time Gemma has been targeted. She was already in contact with police regarding an earlier hate letter she received, believed to have come from a man who used “menacing language” and expressed strong hostility toward her.
“The police have been fantastic and have some new leads,” the insider added. “Gemma’s trying not to let it get to her and is doing her best to focus on summer projects.”
In response to the threats, the reality star has taken no chances, boosting security at her homeby bringing in 24-hour guard dog patrols.
Gemma opened up last month on the Everything I Know About Me podcast by the Daily Mail, revealing that she has dealt with multiple stalkers over the years.
“No one would believe the bloody crap I’ve had to deal with,” she said. “I’ve had a woman stalker who wrote me a letter in white gloves and wanted to kill me.”
“People would wish me dead. I’d get all sorts turn up at the shop. Weird. People are weird. And that’s why in a way I came away from my shop in the end.”
