Femi Adebayo’s epic Netflix Original Yoruba movie, Jagun Jagun, continues to make waves as it bags an impressive twelve nominations in the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards. The acclaimed film, released in 2023, is up for a variety of key categories, including Best Indigenous Movie, Best Supporting Actor, Director of the Year, Best Cinematography, and Best Costume.
Other nominations include Best Use of Makeup, Best Actor, Best Sound, Best Soundtrack, Best Production Design, Best Special Effect, and Best Actress, showcasing the film’s all-around excellence.
An excited Femi Adebayo took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to celebrate the achievement. In a viral post, he shared his joy, writing, “Wow Guys! We’ve done it Again!! Delighted to announce that JAGUN JAGUN – THE WARRIOR (a Netflix Original Movie) has been nominated for Twelve (12) Awards at the 2024 BON Awards.”
This recognition follows closely on the heels of Jagun Jagun receiving seven nominations at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), further cementing the film’s success.
The powerful storytelling, rich cultural representation, and high-quality production of Jagun Jagun have firmly positioned it as one of the standout Nollywood films of recent years.
