It’s the end of an era for Love Is Blind UK fans, as long-time podcast hosts Emma and Matt Willis are reportedly stepping away from their hosting duties ahead of the show’s much-anticipated second season.

Busy Schedules Force Difficult Decision

According to The Sun, the popular couple – Emma, 48, and Matt, 41 – made the “tough call” to leave the official Love Is Blind UK companion podcast, citing Matt’s increasingly packed music schedule with Busted and other commitments as the reason.

“Matt and Emma loved doing it but they’re so, so busy – they couldn’t make their schedules work,” a source told the outlet.

The pair brought a blend of humour, insight, and warmth to the podcast, making it a fan-favourite addition to the Netflix dating series’ first season.

Sarel Takes the Mic

Rising social media star Sarel, 30, will now take over podcast hosting duties for Season 2. Best known for her viral TikTok recaps and widely followed podcast Closet Confessions, Sarel boasts over 1 million followers and 60 million likes on the platform.

She’s no stranger to the stage either, having starred in 2022’s Funeral Flowers and returned with a sold-out 26-show run at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival for her live show Knock Knock, featuring fellow TikTok creators.

Sarel’s flair for pop culture commentary and comedic timing has made her a fast favourite online—especially for her Love Island recaps—making her a fresh and relatable voice for the Love Is Blindaudience.

Season 2 Drops August 13 on Netflix

The new season of Love Is Blind UK premieres on 13 August, promising another round of emotional rollercoasters and unexpected romance—all without the couples seeing each other face to face.

A teaser recently released by Netflix hints at major drama, with one anonymous contestant heard saying:

“It’s madness. Falling in love through a wall.”

Netflix also teased the stakes:

“When their wedding day arrives, will real-world realities and external factors push them apart, or will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with?”

The Concept: Love Without Sight

The series follows UK and Ireland-based singles who are done with superficial dating. Instead, they talk through pods—without seeing each other—before deciding whether to get engaged based on emotional connection alone.

From there, they move in together, plan a wedding, and finally see if their real-world chemistry holds up.

A New Chapter for the Podcast

As fans await the show’s return, many will miss the familiar voices of Emma and Matt. But with Sarel’s dynamic energy and massive online following, the podcast is poised to continue thriving with a fresh and younger audience.
