Fans of Eminem and 50 Cent have been dreaming of a collaborative album from the iconic duo for years, and now Slim Shady himself has finally shed some light on the possibility. During a special Christmas Day episode of DJ Whoo Kid’s Whoo’s House podcast—celebrating 20 years of Eminem’s Shade 45 Sirius XM station—the Detroit rapper candidly discussed why the highly-anticipated project hasn’t materialized.

When asked if a joint album with 50 Cent might ever see the light of day, Eminem didn’t hold back:

“That would be great. I think we gotta stop bullshitting and just do it…I would never say it’s not possible.”

Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager, chimed in with enthusiasm:

“I would love to hear it. So whenever you guys are ready, we’re putting it out.”

While 50 Cent has primarily been focused on dominating the TV and film world in recent years, he hasn’t left music behind. The Queens rapper recently collaborated with Eminem on Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Missionary album.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the pair had the chance to team up on a major project. Earlier this year, 50 Cent revealed that Eminem once passed on what could have been “the biggest tour in the world.” Despite 50’s grand vision, Eminem declined, explaining his desire to prioritize time with his daughter, Hailie.

“He said, ‘I just don’t want to go and come back and Hailie’s grown,’” 50 Cent recalled. Initially skeptical, 50 later understood Eminem’s decision when he saw him walking Hailie down the aisle.

“She got married, and I’m like, ‘This is what he’s talking about,’” 50 reflected.

For now, while there’s no official confirmation of an album, Eminem’s comments have reignited fans’ hope. The mutual respect and enduring friendship between these rap legends suggest that the possibility is still alive.

Listeners can check out the full interview on the Whoo’s House podcast, with the discussion about the potential album starting at the 21-minute mark. Keep your fingers crossed, hip-hop fans—this collaboration could still happen!
