The CEO of Eezee Conceptz, Dr. Ezekiel ThankGod, has publicly accused gospel artist Mercy Chinwo of contract violations, manipulation, and attempting to claim ownership of her music catalogue despite receiving substantial financial support from his label.

In a lengthy statement, Dr. ThankGod revealed that Mercy Chinwo has earned over $625,000 through Eezee Conceptz since signing with the label. However, he alleged that the singer has been spreading false claims, stating she was underpaid and mistreated by the label.

“You received over $625,000, yet you continue to deceive the public, playing the victim and claiming you signed a bad contract,” he wrote. Dr. ThankGod emphasized that the 50/50 earnings agreement was fair and transparent and accused Chinwo of using law enforcement and religious organizations to pressure him.

He also shared details of his financial and personal investment in the singer’s career. “I housed you for months and secured two-bedroom apartments for both you and your band leader. I invested my blood, sweat, and hard-earned money into your career,” he said.

The CEO claimed that Mercy Chinwo breached their contract by failing to deliver a third album and withholding funds meant for the label. Despite these alleged infractions, Dr. ThankGod noted he initially sought reconciliation, even suggesting an independent audit to resolve their differences.

He also revealed that he was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last year under duress, where $274,000 was allegedly extorted. Still, he refrained from going public with their dispute, choosing instead to follow the legal processes outlined in their agreement.

Addressing Mercy Chinwo directly, he questioned her reluctance to engage in the Multidoor resolution process stated in their contract and accused her of selectively acknowledging the terms only when beneficial to her.

Dr. ThankGod defended Eezee Conceptz’s contributions to the singer’s career, asserting that the label fully funded her projects and provided the platform that catapulted her to fame. “Through God’s grace, I built this label that gave you opportunities beyond your dreams. No one can erase the role Eezee Conceptz played in building your influence,” he wrote.

Concluding his statement, the CEO expressed his commitment to pursuing legal action and maintaining his faith in the judicial system. “I’ll continue to act lawfully, trusting the legal system and God to defend my peace and reputation,” he said, thanking supporters for their prayers and encouragement.

The accusations have sparked a heated debate online, with fans and critics alike weighing in on the contractual and ethical implications of the dispute. As the situation unfolds, many are eager to see how both parties will resolve the matter.
