Gottmik, who made history on RuPaul’s Drag Race as the first trans man to compete on the show, has been arrested for DUI. Law enforcement sources say Burbank Police officers responded to a traffic collision around 4:50 p.m. on September 16 involving a black Porsche and multiple parked vehicles.
According to police, the driver of the Porsche had collided with a parked Toyota Camry, which was then pushed into two additional vehicles. The Gottmik DUI arrest involved the 30-year-old, whose real name is Kade Gottlieb, as the Porsche’s sole occupant. Officers said he displayed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication and arrested him for DUI. He was released the following day, September 17.
Gottmik finished in a shared third-fourth place on season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race before returning for the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. He has since built a career as a makeup artist and content creator. Representatives for Gottmik have not responded to requests for comment. The case remains ongoing.
