Diddy’s Trial Heats Up: Graphic “Freak Off” Tapes May Be Shown to Jury, Defense Files Bold Questionnaire

The upcoming federal trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to be one of the most explosive courtroom dramas of the year, with jury selection already making headlines.

Diddy’s legal team has filed a detailed jury questionnaire that hints at the direction his defense may take—and it’s already causing tension. The document, submitted late Friday, includes more than 70 questions designed to screen potential jurors’ attitudes toward sexually explicit content, alternative lifestyles, and s3xual behaviors, including the concept of individuals having multiple partners.

According to the Associated Press, the questionnaire also inquires whether potential jurors can remain impartial after viewing graphic video evidence, including the now-infamous “freak off” tapes—alleged recordings of group s3x encounters involving Diddy, a female participant, and male s3x workers. These recordings may be introduced during trial as key evidence.

Prosecutors Push Back

Federal prosecutors are not thrilled. In a letter to the presiding judge, they argued that the questionnaire’s complexity could overwhelm jurors and possibly sway responses before trial even begins. Still, Diddy’s team appears determined to weed out any bias early—particularly among those uncomfortable with graphic material or alternative s3xual behavior.

The Charges

Diddy is currently facing five serious federal charges, including:

• Two counts of sex trafficking

• Two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution

• One count of racketeering

Three charges stem from the original indictment last September, while two additional charges were filed earlier this month. Diddy, 54, has pleaded not guilty to all allegations and denies any wrongdoing.

Prosecutors allege a disturbing pattern of behavior spanning several years, painting a picture of organized exploitation masked behind celebrity excess. Central to these accusations are the so-called “freak offs,” allegedly orchestrated by Diddy and documented on video.

High-Profile Legal Maneuvering

Speculation is swirling around whether Diddy plans to expand his legal defense team. TMZ recently cornered high-powered defense attorney Mark Geragos, cohost of the “2 Angry Men” podcast, who sidestepped questions about possibly joining the team—further fueling rumors of strategic moves behind the scenes.

Trial Date Set

Opening arguments are scheduled for May 12, and with the proposed jury questionnaire sparking early controversy, the case is already shaping up to be a media spectacle.

With the possibility of explicit videos being introduced and a jury expected to confront deeply personal and provocative evidence, Diddy’s trial could become a defining chapter in the intersection of celebrity culture, justice, and accountability.
