Sean “Diddy” Combs has sold one of his waterfront Star Island estates in Miami for $55 million, closing the deal while serving his federal prison sentence. The off-market transaction saw the nearly 8,000-square-foot property at 1 Star Island Drive purchased by JFStar LLC, a Virginia-based real estate holding company led by John A. Franklin. The buyer financed the purchase with an $18.5 million mortgage from Axos Bank.

Diddy originally acquired the six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom estate in 2021 from Gloria and Emilio Estefan for $35 million, netting a $20 million profit on the sale. The property features a two-story main house, guest house, pool, spa, and private dock with 240 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage. The deal faced some hurdles, Franklin’s company actually sued Diddy’s entity in May over title issues, but the lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed on July 2 before the sale closed.

Property records confirm Diddy still owns his main estate right next door at 2 Star Island Drive, the property famously raided by Homeland Security in March 2024 as part of the sex trafficking and racketeering investigation. The newly sold property was not searched. The sale comes as Diddy serves his 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after a jury convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution while acquitting him on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His current release date is February 23, 2028.
