Super Bowl champion DeVonta Smith has another ring to add to his collection. The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver married his longtime love, Mya Danielle, on June 13 at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The couple, who share two young daughters, exchanged vows in front of 135 guests at a sophisticated black-tie ceremony.
The wedding was a family affair through and through. Their daughters, 2-year-old Kyse and 1-year-old Kali, walked down the aisle with their grandmother. Smith and Danielle, both 27, met in middle school when they competed against each other at track meets, and their journey came full circle when Smith proposed in Philadelphia on New Year’s Eve in 2024.
For the couple, choosing Disney World was deeply personal. They shared that they take an annual trip to Disney together, making the location a meaningful extension of a tradition already tied to so many memories.
“We make an annual trip to Disney every year, so getting married there felt like a natural extension of a tradition that already holds so many special memories for us,” they shared. “Ultimately, choosing this destination allows us to return to a place we already love year after year and be reminded of one of the most important moments of our lives”.
The NFL world showed up in force for the celebration. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts attended with his wife, joining former teammate A.J. Brown and several of Smith’s Alabama alumni, including Jaylen Waddle, Patrick Surtain II, Jerry Jeudy, and Jordan Battle.
The weekend kicked off with a Western-themed welcome party honoring the couple’s Louisiana roots, complete with a crawfish boil and custom cowboy hats. The ceremony featured an all-black dress code, a 7-foot-tall wedding cake, and live music from cellists and saxophonists, while legendary New Orleans DJ Mannie Fresh kept the reception dancing.
The couple is already building a beautiful family together with Kyse and Kali. “Neither of us could have imagined that years later we would be standing at the altar together,” Danielle said. “There’s something really special about being able to say that we’ve known each other since we were kids”.
