Chris Brown‘s former housekeeper Maria Avila is on the hunt for the nearly $13 million she is owed for the vicious dog attack at the R&B singer’s home, and she wants to get her paws on the money he’s making from his tour with Usher. In court documents obtained, Maria said Chris has “made no effort to satisfy any portion of the judgment.” She now wants the court to give her full access to Chris’ financial records so she can seize what she’s owed.
Maria points out that Chris is currently on tour with Usher for The R&B Tour, which she says he is being paid handsomely. The former housekeeper said she wants all payments for the tour, any entertainment-related projects, or residuals directed to her, because Chris does not appear willing to work with her to get the judgment paid off. Maria also wants Chris to be ordered to appear in court for an examination of his finances.
As we first reported, Chris was ordered to pay the massive judgment after a jury trial last month. The verdict came after a two-week civil trial in Los Angeles, where jurors found Brown and his company Black Pyramid LLC liable for negligence in the 2020 dog attack that left Avila with permanent facial disfigurement, scarring, vision loss, and nerve damage. The attack occurred when Avila was emptying trash outside Brown’s Tarzana, California home and was mauled by his 200-pound Caucasian shepherd named Hades .
Brown is currently on the road for The R&B Tour with Usher, a 51-date stadium run that kicked off in June . According to Billboard, the two artists have grossed a combined $934 million and sold 8.1 million tickets over their careers heading into this tour, which is already 90% sold out. The tour is expected to be highly lucrative for both performers, making it a prime target for Avila’s legal team.
