Pop rebel Charli XCX is officially a married woman! The Speed Drive hitmaker tied the knot with longtime love George Daniel of The 1975 in a super intimate ceremony in London — and true to Charli’s iconic Brat era, it was anything but traditional.
On July 19, the internet lit up with a viral video of the newlyweds at Hackney Town Hall. Charli, 32, stunned in a daring white mini-dress with a plunging neckline, paired with a flowing veil and her signature Brat-style sunglasses. George, 35, kept it casual-cool in a sleek black suit, an off-grey shirt, and a crisp white flower to match his bride’s bouquet.
Only about 20 close friends and family were in attendance. Fellow 1975 bandmates Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann were spotted at the ceremony, but frontman Matty Healy was notably absent.
Despite previous reports of a luxurious wedding planned for Sicily later this year — complete with no bar curfews, star-studded guests, and a price tag in the tens of thousands — the couple opted for something low-key (for now). According to sources, that larger celebration may still happen in the coming months.
But if you ask Charli, this was never about glitz and glam. Earlier this year, she revealed her true wedding goals:
“We’re both very chill and we kind of just want to have a party,” she said. “We just want to be together forever and have a party with our friends.”
The couple got engaged in November 2023 after a year of dating, and their laid-back, stylish London vows are already making waves online — mini-dress, veil, and Bratcore flair included.
