Carrot Top’s Monday night comedy show at the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas has officially been canceled as the comedian remains hospitalized. The 61-year-old entertainer, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was hospitalized in Las Vegas on Friday following a reported suicide attempt. His representative has said he is recovering and receiving the care and support he needs.
The cancellation marks the latest change to Carrot Top’s performance schedule. His Friday and Saturday shows at the Luxor were previously called off as he remained in the hospital. The comedian has maintained his long-running Las Vegas residency at the Luxor since 2005, making the latest cancellations a significant interruption to his regular performances.
For now, Carrot Top’s next scheduled performance at the casino is Wednesday night, although it remains unclear whether he will be able to return to the stage by then. His representative has asked for privacy on behalf of the comedian, his family, and those closest to him as he continues receiving medical care.
