Bunnie XO is turning the page on her divorce from Jelly Roll with an unexpected move, heading back to school. The 46-year-old podcast host announced she’s been accepted into Arizona State University, teasing her followers with “Dr. XO, loading?” in an Instagram post that has fans buzzing about her fresh start.

The news comes just weeks after Jelly Roll filed for divorce in May 2026, ending their nearly decade-long marriage. While the split was initially reported as mutual, Bunnie later revealed on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast that the separation stemmed from a heated Mother’s Day argument where she told him to “file the f—ing divorce papers”, and he did.

Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa Carter, shared a screenshot of her ASU acceptance letter on Instagram, signaling a major career pivot. She hasn’t revealed her intended major or start date, but the move represents a significant shift from her role as a media personality and stepmom.

The college announcement follows an emotional period where Bunnie has been candid about the divorce fallout. On her podcast, she joked that her marriage felt like serving a “10-year prison sentence”, a quip made after reading a DM from an inmate serving the same term. “I just got out of a 10-year bid too, bitches,” she laughed.

Despite the split, the exes remain committed to co-parenting and moving forward with their family plans. Bunnie confirmed they’re still proceeding with their surrogacy journey, having lost four embryos during IVF treatments. “That’s my best friend,” she said of Jelly Roll, “and you guys are going to be shocked to hear this, but we’re still having a baby together.”

Jelly Roll addressed the divorce publicly during his concert, telling the crowd: “Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. Nobody cheated on nobody.”

Since the split, Bunnie’s DMs have been flooded with interested suitors, including rappers and even incarcerated men, but she insists dating isn’t on her radar. Instead, she’s focused on discovery. “I’m excited to discover myself single,” she shared.

Bunnie’s ASU acceptance marks the beginning of an unexpected chapter. No word yet on when classes start or what she’ll study, but she’s clearly embracing the change. As she put it: call it a fresh start, with a syllabus.
