Brandy is adding a permanent mark to entertainment history. The Grammy-winning singer and actress will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on March 30 at 11:30 a.m. PT.

The ceremony marks a long-awaited recognition for the multi-hyphenate artist, who rose to fame as a teenager and has maintained a decades-long career across music, television, and film.

Brandy Norwood, known magnanimously as Brandy, first captured audiences as the star of the UPN sitcom Moesha, which ran for six seasons and made her a household name. Simultaneously, she launched a music career that yielded hits like “The Boy Is Mine,” a duet with Monica that became one of the best-selling female duets of all time.

Her debut album, Brandy, went multiplatinum. Her follow-up, Never Say Never, earned her a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group. She has since released several more albums, starred in the Cinderella remake with Whitney Houston, and served as a coach on The Voice.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. PT on March 30. The location of Brandy’s star has not yet been announced, but ceremonies typically draw crowds of fans and fellow industry figures.

Brandy’s star will be the 2,798th since the Walk of Fame’s completion in 1961. Recipients are selected by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce based on career achievements in categories including motion pictures, television, recording, radio, and live performance.

Following the ceremony, Brandy continues an active career. She recently appeared in the Netflix film The Best Man: The Final Chapters and has teased new music projects. The Walk of Fame honor adds to a legacy that already includes a Grammy, multiple NAACP Image Awards, and a lasting influence on R&B and pop culture.

For fans who have followed her since Moesha or the Never Say Never era, the ceremony represents a full-circle moment, a permanent acknowledgment of an artist who helped define the late 1990s and early 2000s while continuing to evolve.
