Award-winning filmmaker and cultural icon Bolanle Austen-Peters has marked her 56th birthday with deep gratitude, celebrating her achievements, legacy, and future aspirations.
Sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram, the Terra Kulture founder reflected on her journey, expressing appreciation for her success and the people who have supported her.
“Stepping into 56 years of boldly achieving purpose. Blessed, accomplished, and poised… Walking through our garden, I reflected on everything God has done for me, and all I can say is ‘THANK YOU, LORD,’ for making me a Beautiful African Princess (BAP) with the Baddest Amazing Productions (BAP),” she wrote.
She also looked ahead to new beginnings, emphasizing her faith in God and gratitude for her loved ones.

Bolanle Austen-Peters has been a pioneering force in Nigeria’s creative industry. In 2003, she founded Terra Kulture, a hub for arts, theater, and culture in Lagos.
In 2013, she launched Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions (BAP), making a splash with Saro the Musical, which earned critical acclaim and was later performed in London’s West End.
Her transition to filmmaking led to the directorial success of 93 Days (2016), a gripping drama about Nigeria’s fight against Ebola, which gained international recognition. She has since directed:
• The Bling Lagosians (2019) – a high-society drama
• Collision Course (2020) – tackling police brutality
• Man of God (2022) – exploring faith and identity
With a legacy of empowering African storytelling, Austen-Peters continues to inspire a new generation of creatives.
