Nigerian music star Bloody Civilian, real name Emoseh Khamofu, caused quite the buzz on social media this week with a bold declaration—only to backtrack faster than a trending TikTok challenge! On January 25, 2025, the UK-based singer took to her X (formerly Twitter) page to drop the bombshell: “I’m actually a lesbian. Can’t hide it anymore.”
Cue the fireworks—or rather, the backlash. Social media erupted as critics accused the How To Kill A Man hitmaker of promoting “abnormality” and steering young fans off course. Some fans stood by her, while others wondered if this revelation was a calculated move.
And they might be onto something. Just hours later, Bloody Civilian doubled back with a new post, clarifying that her coming-out announcement wasn’t what it seemed. “I’m not a lesbian,” she explained, revealing that the whole thing was tied to her involvement in an upcoming game show, premiering February 7, 2025. The internet collectively raised an eyebrow.
