Benny Blanco has revealed that he and fiancée Selena Gomez haven’t started planning their wedding just yet — because life and work haven’t slowed down enough for them to catch their breath.
Speaking on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, the 37-year-old producer shared that the couple, who got engaged in December 2024, have been caught up in back-to-back projects since their engagement.
“We’ve both been working so much,” Benny explained. “We got engaged, then we were filming music videos for our album, then holidays came, then promo… then Selena had to go film Only Murders in the Building… I started writing another book. It’s just been non-stop.”
He added that despite the chaos, they’ve managed to sneak in quiet moments together. “With Selena, I can just hang out and cuddle all day. She makes everything better — just eating food and watching stuff in bed, piles of food around us, having the best time.”
Benny hinted that wedding planning may finally begin this summer, saying: “I think this summer we’re going to sit down and be like, ‘Okay, what are we doing.’ We’re so excited, but we just haven’t had the time yet.”
As for the kind of wedding he’s hoping for? “I think it’ll be chill. Chill vibes all the way,” he said.
One thing is for sure — Ed Sheeran is at the top of the guest list. Benny joked that he already told Ed, “You’re coming to the wedding,” though no official date has been set.
Since their engagement, the couple released their first joint album I Said I Love You First in March — a project that, like their love story, took shape during the whirlwind of work and romance.
For now, fans will have to wait just a little longer for wedding bells — but when it does happen, expect a low-key, love-filled celebration with plenty of music and good food.
