Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have officially finalized their divorce, marking the end of their whirlwind rekindled romance. However, unlike many high-profile breakups, theirs has reportedly ended on an amicable note.
According to In Touch Weekly, the former couple managed to finalize their divorce “without hating each other”, which has helped them maintain a positive post-split relationship. “They’re both impressed by how fair everything turned out and are as happy as one could be after a divorce,” an insider revealed.
One major reason they want to stay in each other’s lives is their blended family. Ben’s three children with Jennifer Garner—Violet (19), Fin (16), and Samuel (12)—developed a close bond with J.Lo’s twins, Max and Emme Muñiz (16). The kids, especially Emme and Fin, have vowed not to let the divorce ruin their friendship.
Interestingly, Violet Affleck reportedly had the hardest time accepting the breakup. She and J.Lo shared a close stepmother-stepdaughter bond, often spotted shopping or vacationing together. Sources claim Violet wished her dad would stay with J.Lo, but she isn’t letting the divorce stop her from keeping in touch with her.
While Ben and J.Lo’s love story has officially closed this chapter, they seem determined to keep things drama-free for the sake of their kids. Do you think they’ll remain friends in the long run?
