A Ben 10 reboot pilot has been listed on the SAG-AFTRA website, signaling that Warner Bros. Animation is actively developing a new animated series for the franchise. The production listing shows the pilot was contracted in 2023 and has reportedly been approved internally, though Warner Bros. has not issued an official series order.
The pilot development aligns with comments from studio president Sam Register, who previously confirmed he was involved in developing multiple new iterations of the franchise. “New versions of Ben 10 are currently in active development,” Register told The Wrap, using the plural “versions” and fueling speculation that Warner Bros. may be exploring several different directions for the property simultaneously.
The original Ben 10 premiered on Cartoon Network in 2005 and spawned multiple sequel series including Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and Omniverse, followed by a 2016 reboot that ran until 2021. While fans have awaited a proper return, a new comic series from Dynamite Entertainment launched in May 2026, bringing back original creators Man of Action for a modern retelling of Ben Tennyson’s origin story. If the pilot moves forward, it would mark the franchise’s first new animated series since the 2016 reboot concluded.
