Jimmy Chang, a highly regarded Atlanta realtor known for his expertise and warm personality, has passed away following a car accident in Atlanta. Details surrounding the accident remain unclear, but news of his untimely death has left the real estate community and beyond in shock.
Fellow realtor Rich Kim paid a heartfelt tribute, recounting how Jimmy’s kindness and hospitality made Atlanta feel like home. “RIP Jimmy Chang. You showed me what southern hospitality truly means. We were supposed to attend the upcoming real estate convention together, and after years of planning, we finally started working at the same company. Knowing you was an absolute privilege. You will be deeply missed, brother,” Kim said.
Nyla Lieu, another close friend, described Jimmy as a cheerful and supportive companion who always uplifted those around him. “I can’t believe you’re gone, Jimmy. You had the biggest heart, always bringing laughter and positivity. From karaoke nights to TGIF hangouts, you were like a brother to me. I’ll never forget the impact you had on my life,” she shared.
Jimmy Chang was the founder of the Jimmy Chang Real Estate Group and served as the President of the Atlanta chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA). A University of Georgia graduate in Management and Information Systems, he previously worked with Palmer House Properties and New Western Acquisitions.
His passing is a profound loss to Atlanta’s realtor community and all who knew him.
