Former Big Brother Naija housemate Topher has given the Magbon Alade community in Lekki, Lagos State, a major reason to celebrate after commissioning a borehole project as a special birthday gift ahead of his March birthday.
A Birthday Gift with Impact
Sharing the news on social media, Topher expressed gratitude to his fan group, the Tonita Premium Group, for helping bring the project to life.
“So happy to commission this borehole for the Magbon Alade community. A special birthday gift, made possible by generous people who share my values. Grateful beyond words. Tonita Premium Group, God bless you.”
The initiative is part of Topher’s efforts to give back to society and make a meaningful impact beyond his reality TV fame.
Topher’s Rise to Fame
Topher, whose real name is Joseph Bassey Christopher, is a Public Relations Analyst and CEO of Debonaire Republic (DR Wears), a fashion brand. Hailing from Akwa Ibom, he gained national recognition after his time on BBNaija and has since built a strong fan base.
BBNaija’s Relevance Debate
Meanwhile, former BBNaija housemate DeeOne has stirred controversy by claiming that only three ex-housemates—himself, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, and Bisola Aiyeola—remain relevant today.
He argued that other past contestants, including Erica, Laycon, Teddy A, and Liquorose, struggled to sustain their careers after the show.
“In the history of Big Brother Naija, only three of us are still relevant today: DeeOne, Ebuka, and Bisola. Others who were doing well before the show became stagnant after participating.”
His comments have sparked debates about whether BBNaija is a stepping stone or a setback for its contestants.
