Aston Villa have pulled off a major transfer coup, securing Marco Asensio on loan from Paris Saint-Germain until June. According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Villa beat off competition after being linked with Marcus Rashford and João Félix, ultimately landing the former Real Madrid star for the rest of the season.

How the Asensio Deal Happened

The move became possible after PSG freed up a loan spot by offloading Cher Ndour to Fiorentina. With that hurdle cleared, Asensio is set to travel to England on Sunday to finalize his switch to Unai Emery’s squad.

Villa fans will be hoping the Spanish playmaker’s creativity and experience bolster their attacking options as they push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Tottenham Secure €25m Kevin Danso Deal

Elsewhere in the transfer market, Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with RC Lens to sign Austrian centre-back Kevin Danso.

• The deal is worth €25 million

• Danso has signed a contract until June 2030

• He is scheduled to undergo medicals on Sunday before finalizing the move

The highly-rated defender has been on Spurs’ radar for months, and his arrival will provide much-needed depth in Ange Postecoglou’s backline.

Juventus Land Lloyd Kelly from Newcastle

Juventus have also made a defensive addition, agreeing a deal with Newcastle United to sign centre-back Lloyd Kelly.

• The deal is structured as a loan with an obligation to buy

• The package is worth around £15 million

• Includes add-ons and a sell-on clause

Kelly’s medical is already being planned, and the transfer is expected to be completed in the coming days.
